Reporting Requirements

Successful Hunters
- Must return the completed hunt report and the FRONT teeth to ADF&G in Douglas or Yakutat within 5 days of kill.
- Specimens Required: FRONT teeth (on 5-inch section of jaw)

Unsuccessful Hunters
Must return the completed hunt report to ADF&G, or report online at hunt.alaska.gov, within 15 days of the close of season. -

Hunting Conditions
ELIGIBILITY / PREREQUISITES:
--- Nonresidents: Prior to hunting, you must complete the online Nonresident Moose Hunter Orientation (proof of completion must be carried in the field). See www.adfg.alaska.gov/WildlifeConservationQuizzes/Details?id=7
HUNT AREA (RM062): Unit 5B.
SEASON DATES: September 1 - December 15.
LEGAL ANIMAL: One bull moose.
PERMIT, LICENSE, LOCKING-TAG: Remember to carry your signed RM062 permit, and hunting license. Nonresidents: also carry your metal big game locking-tag for moose, and the associated Big Game Tag Record.
IF YOU KILL A MOOSE:
--- You must immediately validate your permit by cutting out the month and date of harvest. Nonresidents: before leaving the kill site, you must also affix your metal locking-tag onto a part of the animal required to be salvaged.
--- Within 5 days of kill, you must submit a completed hunt report and the FRONT teeth (on a 5-inch section of jaw) to ADF&G in Douglas or Yakutat.
--- Please also provide a photo of your moose antlers to ADF&G in Douglas, or email an image to paul.converse@alaska.gov
IF YOU DO NOT KILL A MOOSE, OR DO NOT HUNT: Within 15 days of the close of season, you must submit a completed permit report to ADF&G, or report online at hunt.alaska.gov.
IF YOU FAIL TO REPORT AS REQUIRED: You will not be eligible to receive any permits the next regulatory year and may face additional enforcement action.
